Bloomington Bicycle Alliance Our group supports, promotes and advocates for safe bicycling as a convenient and viable option for transportation and recreation for all people

Bloomington Bicycle Alliance (BBA) is a grass-roots group started in 2013 with a focus to support, promote and advocate for safe bicycling as a convenient and viable option for transportation and recreation that benefits people of all ages and abilities. With other cyclists of varied abilities, we advocate with the City of Bloomington to build safer streets in our community from an end-user viewpo

int supporting its vision of becoming a more bicycle-friendly city. We promote and celebrate bikes leading monthly social rides open to all riders exploring Bloomington by bike surrounded by fellow cyclists reveling in the joy of cycling and demonstrating the positive impact of cycling. Combined with our advocacy for improved infrastructure, we promote cycling as a safe, viable option for transportation through educational clinics, classes and rodeo events that enforces safe riding habits.

No word on if there is something in the works in Minnesota, but it is a relatively inexpensive way to get more people using electric vehicles.

Electric bike rebate programs help commuters get out of cars and onto e-bikes, saving time on commutes and reducing emissions in cities.

This article suggests using the sidewalk on either side of American Blvd as a bike trail across Bloomington, parallel with 494. What do you think of that suggestion? Do you know anyone that uses the American Blvd sidewalks as a bike trail regularly?

When exploring Bloomington, the Mall of America (MOA) is just one of many travel treasures you find when biking here.
