"'s commitment to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games helped redefine how we support our incredible athletes. From the very beginning, their position was unique: How can we help advance the health of your Games and IDD community? As title sponsor, UnitedHealthcare made an unprecedented investment in health screenings, care initiatives, and education, along with recruiting countless UHC volunteers who provided critical support for our general health and wellness program, Health Promotion, and our mental health screening program, Strong Minds. This effort resulted in over 2,570 completed screenings across those two disciplines alone.

Their commitment to mental health didn't stop there. UnitedHealthcare's partnership was instrumental in reinventing our sensory and behavioral response program for the 2026 USA Games. Building on the success of the Minnesota Twins stadium sensory room, their willingness to share their sensory development expertise and to provide additional support to staff behavioral health specialists and to establish sensory rooms throughout the Games helped create one of the most comprehensive sensory and behavioral health programs in Special Olympics history.
This partnership empowered athletes to compete at their best while providing lasting health benefits they can carry home. This work doesn't end with the Closing Ceremony — the advances in the 2026 USA Games health program are poised to become legacy initiatives for future Games."

The ESPN Unified Sports Challenge at Allianz Field was pure magic.

Seeing Special Olympics athletes team up with stars like Jalen Suggs, Joe Mauer, Josh Mettelus, Annie Kunz, Harrison Phillips, Dakotah Popehn, Walter Rouse, Mara Braun, Brian O'Neill, Rowdy Gaines, Grace Zumwinkle, Adam Thielen, Christina McHale, Devin Paddleford, Bria Hartley, Tim Shriver and Danny Striggow showed what sports are actually about: community, connection, and competing together.

With Matt Iseman hosting, Carrie Tollefson on the sidelines, and Jimmy Jam spinning the tracks, the energy was unmatched.

Inclusion has a way of changing everyone who steps onto the field.
