MBC Alumnus (1987-1993) Ryan Torkelson passed away on March 9th, 2023. Ms. Speed/Hasselmann will be in attendance to speak at his service, and Alumni are invited to attend in support of the family and to honor Ryan. Details for the Visitation/Service this Friday are below.

Torkelson, Ryan John December 22, 1977 March 9, 2023 Age 45 was called home to be with the Lord and is now free of pain in this world. Ryan was the most loving and caring son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Survived by his parents, Julie and Harold; brothers, Michael and Chad (Kaycee); nephew and nieces, Theo, Stella, Myla, Phoenix and his best friend, Matt. Preceded in death by grandparents, John and Muriel Balder, Trygve and Evelyn Torkelson and his uncle, Trygve. Ryan was such a kind and compassionate soul. He never complained of anything. He was a great uncle! He has so many wonderful friends that came and visited him daily. Graduate from St. Thomas University with a degree in German and Art History. Ryan received his masters degree in Early Childhood at St. Thomas. He worked for over 20 years in the beauty industry as a salon and spa development partner and manager. He loved to travel the world. He was very talented musically and sang with the Metropolitan Boys Choir for seven years. He sang all over the world with the choir and performed at Orchestra Hall. Memorial Service 11 AM Friday, March 24 (visitation 10-11AM) at Shepherd of the Hills, 3920 Victoria Street N., Shoreview. Lunch following. We loved you so much.
