Until we start at least looking at the role of antidepressants and other psychotropic drugs may play, we will continue to ask why?

Again, it doesn’t mean cause but is there a link? We have been down this road way too many times to not at least be willing to ask the question.

The FDA has finally added abuse and addiction warnings to anti-anxiety (benzos) drugs like Xanax, Ativan, and Klonopin. According to the FDA, physical dependence can occur when anti-anxiety drugs are taken steadily for several days to weeks. People using benzodiazepines for weeks or months can have also withdrawal symptoms.

Unfortunately this warning comes a little too late for people (including some of my friends) whose lives have been destroyed from these drugs.

Anti-anxiety and antidepressants prescriptions have been skyrocketing since COVID started. If you are going to go down the pill route, make sure you know this BEFORE starting.

Be smart. Be informed.

Why does it take so long to warn? The signs have been there for a long time. Just like antidepressants. Trading money for lives.

Pharmaceutical companies have paid doctors billions of dollars for consulting, promotional talks, meals and more. A new ProPublica analysis finds doctors who received payments linked to specific drugs prescribed more of those drugs.

"We have been conned into believing that depression is caused by chemical imbalances in our brains that pills can solve.” This is a marketing hook. Ask your doctor if you can truly test the human brain to see if there is a “chemical deficiency”. FYI - There have been fraud lawsuits over the misleading marketing of antidepressants.
