Serving as the unifying and governing body for 29 IFC fraternities at the University of Minnesota, the Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the largest men's group on campus. The IFC legislative body is composed of the council's executive board and delegates from each of the member chapters. IFC creates and implements policies, programs, and training opportunities for its member organizations, and ser
ves as a liaison between the Greek community and various departments and offices within the University of Minnesota. The council focuses on recruitment, social issues, leadership development, community service, campus involvement, Greek spirit, and academic achievement. Its officers follow the local IFC constitution and bylaws as well as the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) Resolutions. The NIC's purpose is to assist collegiate and alumni IFC organizations while providing leadership programs and training for collegians.
