Engaging, empowering, mentoring and training youth and adults to positively transform their lives. Our approach challenges, inspires and informs individuals, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve success in all areas of life through personal power, personal development, and leadership training. POPLI Vision:
We Educate and Empower People to Become their Best Selves by Discovering their God-Given Personal Power and Leadership Ability. POPLI Mission:
The Power of People Leadership Institute provides personal development and leadership training to mentor, empower, challenge and inspire youth and adults to overcome their obstacles and find success in every area of life. POPLI Programs:
Girls Taking Action - Motivate, mentor, empower, engage and educate girls in grades to succeed in school and life. Boys of Hope - Mentor reach boys in grades 6-12 to use their personal power to problem solve, attain self-regulation, maintain positive relationships, complete high school, enroll in college and most importantly stay out of the school to prison pipeline. Re-Planting - provide incarcerated community members with pre and post release personal development and leadership training to reduce criminal thinking and behavior, increase reintegration and stability in the community, increase access to employment, housing, system navigation, mental and chemical health services.

On September 26th, POPLI partnered with Soles4Souls at MOA to provide over 100 families with a new pair of shoes for the school year!

A second chance requires structure, support, and a real path forward.

Employment matters. Skill-building matters. Leadership development matters. Through programs like Re-Planting and REEP, we invest in opportunities that help youth and adults rebuild confidence, strengthen leadership, and prepare to serve their communities.

Potential becomes powerful when access meets action. Stronger leaders, stronger communities, and stronger futures.

98% graduation. 80% college enrollment.

Those outcomes reflect more than academic milestones. They reflect young women building confidence, staying connected to their education, and preparing to lead in their communities.

Through Girls Taking Action, mentorship and support help participants move forward with purpose and possibility. We are proud to celebrate the determination behind these achievements and the futures taking shape. Stronger leaders, stronger communities, and stronger futures.

On August 14th, thirteen individuals were celebrated for their commitment to their employment journey, their professional development, and most importantly: Themselves.
The REEP Program creates a pathway for formerly incarcerated community members to invest in their overall personal growth with opportunities to be directly connected with workforce resources and employment avenues.
POPLI was very elated to honor our 17th cohort with this special commencement ceremony and see our graduates off into their next chapter!
