Eddie joined Cub Scout Pack 38 as a Tiger Scout back in 2015. Eleven years later, and now he’s Troop 38’s newest Eagle Scout. Congratulations Eddie!

Summer is in full swing. School’s out. That means more time outdoors in our communities.
Pack 38 joined Cub Scout Pack 153 & Scout BSA Troop 153 - St. Anthony, MN and Pack/Troop 132 at last night’s NE Minneapolis parade down Central Ave.
Our scouts led kids through nature activities at McRae Park for their Ice Cream Social last week.
And Pack 1 partnered with us to host the mobile archery unit at Bancroft School’s Family Fun Fest to mark the end of school.
It doesn’t matter whether south Minneapolis or northeast, we’re one community.
Thank you Pack 38 families for showing your scouting spirit to your neighbors and classmates!

Happy end of school year and beginning of summer!
Pack 38 scouts advanced to their next ranks at our Spring Family Camp last week Phillippo Scout Camp. We had 59 scouts, bringing us to our largest camp ever at 118 people.
Thanks to our cubmaster Ken and our camp master Ben for a great program.
Luke and Nathaniel led our climbing program with Davis, Matt, Mike, Peter, John, and Andy as belayers (with other parents as backup belayers).
And thanks to our rangemasters: Dan, Dana, Ben, Reuben, John, Amanda, and VPaul.
And of course, thanks to all our families for the meals. We couldn’t do any of the activities without the right fuel.
We’re transitioning now into our summer season and look forward to seeing our scouts out in the community!

Just a quick thanks to our parents who are volunteering and training as belayers and rangemasters for our upcoming Spring Family Camp Out!
It’s going to be a blast (literally because we’re also launching rockets!).

Happy Mayday to our Minneapolis community. Today was a tremendous weekend for community outreach and service by Pack 38 scouts and by Northern Star Scouting.
Thousands came to South Minneapolis to celebrate diversity and resilience and to reject hate with Mayday at Powderhorn Park on Sunday.
Pack 38 scouts and leaders and our district support led more than 150 people in archery and arts & crafts.
And on Saturday, our scouts were ambassadors for recycling and composting at the Minnehaha Duck Races, hosted by Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group. Armed with travers, tmour scouts wandered around the festival keeping it tidy and talking with people about separating their trash.

What a great launch into spring.
Thanks to the 23 scouts who came out to Powderhorn Park to clean up the shoreline on Earth Day. The colder weather could not keep you away.
Pack 38 has a great first den meeting after spring break: forensics, yo-yo tricks, and safe biking.
Looking forward to more scouting as the our outdoor begins to bloom.
