Not sure what a "hackathon" is? Let us explain. ๐Ÿ˜„

It's a day where kids work in teams to solve a real problem using technology. They brainstorm, they build, they pitch their ideas. And they have a blast doing it.

Last year, 94% of participants left feeling more confident in their ability to use code to solve problems. Many had never touched a line of code before they walked in.

This summer, Code Savvy is hosting Innovate For Good: AI Builders Day โ€” a free, one-day experience where students ages 8โ€“18 explore how micro:bits and AI can be used as creative tools for good.

The next generation of tech leaders is already here. They just need the tools, mentorship, and community to build.

Since 2014, Technovation Girls Minnesota has reached over 2,000 girls across the state โ€” girls who aren't just learning to code, but learning to solve real problems with technology.

Through hands-on workshops like our Design Thinking Workshop and Launchapalooza, we guide participants from idea all the way to the finish line โ€” learning to design, build, and pitch their apps. Apps that detect disease. Apps that reduce food waste. Apps that support mental health. Built by girls right here in Minnesota.

The program is 100% free for every participant. The only thing that determines how many girls we can reach is funding.

This May, we're asking our community to make that possible. Join us.

๐Ÿ“šThis Teacher Appreciation Week, we're lifting up the educators who are changing what's possible for young people in Minnesota.

Code Savvy has trained more than 2,500 educators because we know the truth: when a teacher gains the confidence to bring computer science into their classroom, hundreds of students gain access to a future in tech they might never have imagined for themselves.

Teachers don't just teach content. They open doors. They say "yes, you belong here" before students can say it to themselves.

To every educator who has shown up for a Code Savvy professional development session, brought the Byte-Sized Challenge into your classroom, coached a Technovation Girls Minnesota team, or simply tried something new for your students: thank you. You are the multiplier. ๐Ÿ’œ

It's May, and that means it's time to build. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

May is National Inventors Month โ€” and here in Minnesota, we're celebrating by doing what we do best: empowering the next generation of inventors to create with technology.

Technovation Girls Minnesota has reached over 2,000 girls across the state since 2014 โ€” connecting them with the mentorship, tools, and community they need to build real apps that solve real problems.

This month, we're fundraising as part of Technovation's May Campaign: It's Time to Build. Every dollar raised goes directly to keeping our program free and expanding its reach.

Whether you give $25 or $500, you're helping a young person in Minnesota build something that matters.

Something big is coming this summer. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Last year, a 12-year-old walked into our event thinking coding wasn't for them. They walked out saying "Now I think I love it!!!!"

That's what happens when young people get real tools, real teammates, and a real challenge to solve.

This June, we're back, and this time we're building with micro:bits and AI.
