Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association (LHENA) is the official neighborhood organization serving the Wedge community in South Minneapolis. Volunteer-driven initiatives support a sense of belonging in the neighborhood. LHENA’s mission is to provide a structure for neighborhood leadership and participation, facilitate the equitable sharing of resources, and advance a vision for the neighborhood.

Mark your calendars for November 19, 2026 and help LHENA make this our most successful Give to the Max Day yet! We will start accepting donations on November 1 towards our 2026 GTTMD goal of 1,000 dollars.

So much is happening this October in the Wedge! The llamas, scavenger hunt, kiddie parade, and countless other activities are back for Halloween in the Park on Saturday, October 17th from 1PM - 3PM. Come join the family friendly fun !

It’s not too late to complete the LHENA Neighborhood Survey! Most residents of the Wedge should have received a postcard for the survey in the mail last month, but if you haven’t taken the survey yet, visit the link in our bio to fill it out and enter for a chance to win a $50 gift card! Survey will close on 10/19.

Want a chance to chat tap water? Our Tap Water Ambassadors will be at Open Streets Hennepin on 10/11 to answer all your questions about Minneapolis Tap Water! They will also be handing out freebies for those that take our tap water quiz

Calling all Uptown businesses! Get Listed in the 2026 Uptown Business Passport
Holidays on Hennepin is creating the 2026 Uptown Business Passport, and it’s free to be included. Eligible businesses are located on Hennepin Ave, Lyndale Ave, or West Lake Street between Franklin/Nicollet and 38th Street/Market Plaza. Over 6,500 passports were distributed in 2025, and that number is expected to double in 2026. Share this post with a business you want to see participate! Make sure to apply before October 15th using the link in our bio !

Oddtoberfest 2026 is next Saturday from 10AM - 2PM! Join us for a proper good time with neighbors. This is a free neighborhood social event, but we encourage folks to RSVP at the link in our bio so we know how many people to expect - hope to see you there !

We are on the map! Stop by the office during the multi-neighborhood Super Sale on September 19th to peruse a whole ton of great clothes that LHENA will be selling to raise money for our organization. Everything will be priced between $0-$15 - that means a free bin! The sale will be open from 9AM - 3PM (accepting cash, Venmo, and card)
