Hi to al Northland Alumni,
Thanks a million for all who participated in the 2018 Ride. With all the twists for the 30th Anniversary, you made it a great success. To raise $185,315 is a statement in its self. I hope you enjoyed each and every part of this years Ride that was planned just for you.
SAVE THE DATES FOR 2019…..January 23-27, 2019.
We are going to keep our Early Bird Special open until March 1. Until then, Registration is offered for $25.00, a savings of $10.00. Take advantage and sign up today. After March 1 it will return to $35.00.
Check into the Northland website at www.northland300.org for viewing all the videos that were shown at the Banquet. Should be up for your viewing around February 12. The winners of this year’s photo contest were Steve Matthews, Shannon Trout, and Mark Maroney (All won $100 towards next year’s pledges.). Diane Reger won the Grand Prize of $350 towards her pledges for the 2019 Ride. CONGRATS TO ALL!
We will be continuing with the INCENTIVE PROGRAM so it would be wise to collect prizes all year. We will be adding another way to earn incentive tickets and that is by recruiting new people for the Ride. Details to follow. FYI – When you bring in a sponsor, you also get to take credit for that towards your pledges!
We are always looking for people to join us on the Northland 300 Board of Directors. If you are at all interested, please contact Kathy @612/840-9660 or [email protected].
Just confirmed our Northland Road Rally for Saturday, July 21 at Bison Thunder (Indian Motorcycle Dealer in St. Michael). Lauren Patrin will be heading this event.
Many of you asked about the R WORD BUTTON at your tables on Saturday. That is for the 2018 Special Olympics campaign to end the use of the R WORD. (Re**rd or Re**rded) This is an annual, international campaign. It is very offensive to our Athletes and the use of “intellectually disabled” is preferred.
Also, on your piece of Northland clothing this year, on the right ab is the 50th Anniversary logo for Special Olympics as an international organization. The celebrations will actually take place in July but we are the first event in Minnesota to use it. You are each a part of this wonderful movement.
Again, many thanks for a successful and fun filled event. You are truly an amazing group of people who collectively do amazing things. If you have any questions or concerns at anytime, do not hesitate to contact any Board member.
Friendship in snowmobiling,
Northland 300 Board of Directors
