•Tues., Aug.7-Thurs., Aug. 9: Safety Camp – A program of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, for ages 8-11, at Theodore Wirth Park, 1339 Theodore Wirth Pkwy., Minneapolis, from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Tues. and Wed., 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Thurs., followed by family picnic. Minneapolis police officers and firefighters serve as counselors to the youth, teaching them personal and social safety skills in a fun and friendly environment.

WHAT $100 TO ALL THE KIDS WE GET?
Youth Peace Leaders Conflict Resolution Program, which kicks off on Thursday, July 19 at 5:30-7:45 pm at North Commons Park, Minneapolis, and meets on Thursdays through August 23 (dinner included, 6 meetings total). Students will learn valuable conflict resolution skills and earn a $100 stipend and Youth Peace Leader certificate. This is the third year we've held this program, and it is a lot of fun!

With questions, email [email protected] or call 651 645-3271.Enrollment is limited to 20, ages 11-18, in the Youth Peace Leaders Conflict Resolution Program. The Youth Peace Leaders Video Team has five slots and is limited to Minneapolis residents ages 11-17. All are welcome to the kickoff July 19! A free dinner will be served. Citizens for a Safer Minnesota has merged with the Minnesota chapters of The Million Mom March to form Protect Minnesota.
