Free story and craft program for kids and their families! This month our featured storyteller is the amazing Carol McCormick, a professional storyteller who has entertained thousands of happy listeners of all ages. Carol's stories stretch the mind, encourage laughter, and spark imagination.

Without the generous support of our sponsors and donors, StoryFest 2026 wouldn't have been such splendid event. We received generous monetary and in-kind support from the City of Bloomington’s Parks and Recreation and Creative Placemaking departments, Badger Hill Brewing, the American Legion Bloomington Post 550, the Sandbar Storytelling Festival, the Texas Storytelling Festival, the American School of Storytelling, and many individuals.

Today!! StoryFest is underway at the Bloomington Center for the Arts, 10:00am - 9pm. A good storyteller can touch your heart, make you laugh, and expand your perspective. StoryFest!! We hope to see you at the Bloomington Center for the Arts on Saturday. There will be opportunites to listen, learn, and tell stories for everyone who loves storytelling, no matter your age or experience. Two intensive workshops start at 10:30; learn more and find links to register at https://www.storyartsmn.org/storyfest-2026-workshops. Free story performances and more workshops start at 11:15 and run throughout the day. At 7pm, join the audience for an evening of storytelling for adults. And there's more! UPDATE: Pretty Great Cake Shakes will NOT be at StoryFest due to potential weather conditions. We will have Eggroll Queen and Amazing Momo's for food.

Do stories make you hungry? There will be two food trucks at StoryFest on Saturday in the parking lot of the Bloomington Center for the Arts. StoryFest favorite Eggroll Queen will be back! And for the first time we'll welome Pretty Great Cake Shakes! You can grab lunch and/or dessert from 11am to 4pm. Yum yum yum!
