Dear SAM members, friends, and colleagues,
Did you know that every winter (weather permitting) an amazing art installation appears on Lake Harriet? And did you know that this event, called the Art Shanty Project, attracts over 20,000 people out onto the ice to celebrate winter, art, and Minnesota? It's an amazing event, and this year StoryArts of Minnesota, in collaboration with The Story Table Foundation and The Asian Tellers Alliance, will be there in the 'World Of Stories' art shanty. We'll be sharing stories and good will with anyone brave enough to join us!
We would love to see you there, and hear your story. We are inviting SAM members to share a favorite, five-minute, intergenerational story, and to promote SAM's mission to “provide a relevant, inspiring and transformative service to the community through the art and craft of spoken narrative.” You don't have to be a pro, just willing to share a story and your love of SAM.
We have a form that will give you more information including dates, shifts, and some more tidbits about this amazing event. Please take a look and sign up below. If you (or a friend) are intrigued, but not a SAM member, (you can join below) it's affordable and a great way to support Minnesota storytelling.
