Chi Omega was selected to reinstall its Pi Beta Chapter, previously open from 1921 to 1989. Founded in 1895 at the University of Arkansas, Chi Omega is the largest women's fraternal organization in the world with over 310,000 initiates and 174 collegiate chapters. Throughout Chi Omega's long and proud history, the Fraternity has brought its members unequaled opportunities for personal growth and development.

with our Vice President, Georgia Porter ☀️

Georgia is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is majoring in Developmental Psychology with a double minor in Public Health and Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies.

A fun fact about Georgia is that she is related to Anderson Cooper! 🎬

When asked to reflect on her experiences in Pi Beta, Georgia wrote:
“I never expected to join a sorority in college. I knew I was super social and wanted something a community to be apart of, but I grew up with brothers and never had a super warm and supportive female group besides my summer camp job. Chi O was immediately an incredibly warm, inviting, and familial environment that I had not had before. It made the U of M feel so much smaller and more manageable. I became incredibly close with the women in my member class and instantly had female role models to look up to. This has been integral in my college experience and it feels incredibly full circle now to be on the executive board and serve as a mentor for younger members. Being Vice President has allowed me to become so much more involved in the chapter and taught me countless lessons on leadership, collaboration, and academic advising. I feel so close to the freshmen and I can not express my gratitude for this chapter enough through this position. My best advice to incoming PNMs is to try everything and give anything a chance. If you would have told me I would be VP of Chi O 5 years ago I would have laughed and said it was impossible. Really anyone can be a leader and I think Chi O leadership exemplifies that.“

Molly is from Minnetonka, MN and is majoring in Retail and Consumer Studies.
A fun fact about Molly is that her family was one of the first groups of people to ice skate on the Eiffel Tower in 2017! ⛸️
When asked to reflect on her experience in Pi Beta, Molly wrote:
“I love chi o more and more everyday. Living with and working alongside the most determined, kindhearted and caring women was the highlight of my Sophomore year. Our sisters show up for our community and for each other in the most beautiful and unexpected ways. It is truly a privilege to call this chapter home! I cannot wait to share our chapter with you come fall!“

Happy World Wish Day! 🦋🩵🌀

We are so incredibly grateful that we get the opportunity to support all year! Make-A-Wish is so meaningful to every sister in our chapter and we hold it so near and dear to our heart.

Today we are celebrating by hosting a Cake-A-Chi O event from 5-7 at our house🧁 All proceeds will be donated to MAW!! Please stop by and pie one of our sisters and enjoy cupcakes for just $3 🤸‍♀️ Also check out as 20% of their proceeds today will be going to MAW💘

“Sophie is one of the most hardworking, kind, considerate, and loving people I know. She cares so deeply for Chi Omega and it shows in the way she carries herself everyday. She constantly is checking in on others and making other sisters days brighter by just being her true authentic self. Sophie is so incredibly hard working and cares so deeply about her academics, it is so so admirable. I am so proud of her always and have loved seeing all of the creativity and hard work she has put into being our Philanthropy director. Her love for Make-A-Wish does not go unnoticed. Everyone needs a Fifi in their life and I am so grateful to have her in mine. Sophie, you are a role model to so many and I love you more than you know!!! - Alex”
