Last winter, Minnesotans came together across races, religious and cultural backgrounds, generations, and zip codes to defend our neighbors. Today, we ask Pohlad Companies, owner of the Minnesota Twins: Which Side Are You On?! If Trump threatens our freedom to vote, will you fight back? Pohlads: Sign the Business for Democracy pledge now!

Workers were the frontline during ICE’s violent occupation, in which the federal government violated the rights of countless U.S. citizens. The federal government continues to violate the rights of citizens and continues to enact authoritarian attacks on our democracy, whether it be the political persecution of the Minnesota 15 or the continued unchecked violence of ICE all across the country (most recently with the shooting in Austin, Texas this past Sunday). Elections are around the corner, and workers are once again stepping up to make sure our right to vote and have fair and free elections is protected.

Will the Pohlads stand with us now? Join us to demand that the Pohlads stand with workers and every-day Minnesotans fighting to protect our democracy, by signing the Business for Democracy Pledge.

⚾Saturday, September 26th
⚾Meet us: 11:30 am @ CTUL offices or 1:30 pm at Gate 34 of Target Field
⚾Come for flyering, music, and public demonstrations for democracy.

When we fight, we win!

Trump's authoritarian regime has been dialing up their repressive tactics, stirring confusion, and fear-mongering leading up to the fall election.

Ordinary people and small business owners have been doing everything we can to step up for democracy, but Target and other corporations remain silent and complicit.

The slow steal of our elections is well underway and it is well past time that Target and other big businesses step up and stand up for our democracy publicly!

DM us to plug into the next phase of the campaign to get Target and other corporation to speak up and sign the Businesses for Democracy Pledge!

Corporations have an outsized influence in this country, and (like it or not) we need them to join the side of democracy in order for us to defeat this authoritarian takeover.

Ordinary people and small business owners are doing everything they can to step up for democracy in this moment.

What are big corporations doing? What is Target doing?

We demand Target must speak up and sign the business for democracy pledge.

"Despite the sacrifices, none of us ever questioned if it was the right thing to do.
What did Target do?!?!
They abandoned us! Their choices paved a way for the inhumanity we witnessed"

"I'd like to take a moment to remind Target where their responsibilities actually lie. Their responsibilities do not lie with aligning themselves with an authoritarian administration... they lie in the people who buy your products, who work at your stores, and the communities that have helped grow into the company that you are now.

People are watching. And history books will remember."

As we near the midterms and amidst continued attacks on our democracy, workers continue to think creatively about how we can make our message to the Pohlads and other Minnesota billionaires and corporations loud and clear. Workers want to know: Pohlads, which side are you on? Will you stand with the people of Minnesota against authoritarian attacks on our democracy?

We have two more art builds coming up at CTUL to create anti-authoritarian and democracy defense banners for upcoming actions and we would love to see you there!

Upcoming Anti-Authoritarian Art Builds at CTUL:
🫟Friday, September 18th: 4-7 pm
🫟Sunday, September 20th: 5-7 pm

Please RSVP to mailto:[email protected]. Photos by Lucho.
