We’re hiring a Director of Policy & Advocacy at Eureka Recycling!

Join us in advancing policies that reduce waste, strengthen recycling and reuse, protect communities, and move us toward a more just and sustainable future.

The Director will lead policy and advocacy work at the local, state, and federal levels, help convene the Minnesota Zero Waste Coalition, and support national policy strategy with the Alliance for Mission-Based Recycling (AMBR).

Plastic Free July is a great reminder that our everyday choices matter.

But we can't shop our way out of the plastic crisis.

We can bring reusable bags and water bottles. We can skip unnecessary single-use plastics whenever we have the option. But we can't choose how products are packaged or stop companies from producing more plastic.

That's why individual actions need to be matched by policies that reduce waste at the source.

In our latest blog post, we reflect on Plastic Free July and share why Minnesota—and the nation—need policies that reduce unnecessary single-use plastics, expand reuse, hold producers accountable, and create a future with less waste.

Unfortunately, we've made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's Minnesota Zero Waste Fest due to the forecast of unhealthy air quality.

As wildfires and extreme heat become a more common part of our summers, it's a reminder that climate change is affecting our communities in real time. We are particularly thinking of our friends in northern Minnesota.

Reducing waste is one of the many ways we can cut climate pollution and build a healthier, more resilient future.

We'll be sharing ways to take action on zero waste tomorrow, so check back here to learn how you can get involved.

Keep scrap metal out of your curbside recycling bin!

Scrap metal can damage recycling equipment and create safety hazards for workers.

The good news? Most counties offer free scrap metal drop-off options. Check with your county to find a location near you and recycle it the right way.
