Congratulations to 10 newly UCNS-accredited subspecialty fellowship training programs. Programs attaining UCNS accreditation status have demonstrated they offer the core curriculum established by the subspecialty and meet required quality standards established by UCNS. There are now 268 UCNS-accredited training programs in UCNS-recognized subspecialties.

UCNS diplomates can now begin reading in preparation for completing the 2026 continuous certification (C-cert) requirements. The peer-selected articles reflect the most recent advances in the respective neurologic subspecialty fields of medicine. Congratulations are in order to the 48 physicians who passed the 2025 UCNS Neurocritical Care Certification Examination. Demonstrating their expert knowledge in Neurocritical Care, these physicians now hold the distinction of being UCNS Diplomates. There are currently 1,272 physicians in the United States and Canada who are UCNS-certified in Neurocritical Care. The application period is now open for the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) 2026 Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry Certification Examination and the Neonatal Neurocritical Care Certification Examination. The UCNS has announced the names of the physicians who recently passed the 2025 UCNS Clinical Neuromuscular Pathology (CNMP) Certification Examination. Demonstrating their expert knowledge in this neurologic subspecialty, these physicians now hold the distinction of being UCNS Diplomates. There are now 82 physicians certified in CNMP and over 3,300 total UCNS Diplomates across nine neurologic subspecialties.
