State Grange of Minnesota

State Grange of Minnesota Minnesota celebrates our local Granges located in Sherburne, Aitkin, Crow Wing, and Olmsted counties.

First among Granges, Minnesota Grangers believe we can change the world for the better through advocacy, education, and community service and social activities. Our mission of vibrant communities, sustainable agriculture, and a healthy state for every Minnesotan proves that the Grange is just as relevant today as we were nearly 150 years ago!

Happy birthday, Mr. Rogers.

Happy National Loon Day!

Happy National Loon Day!

Thanks to Minnesota artist Larissa Loden, we celebrate the first-ever National Loon Day on March 13, 2026, honoring the anniversary of the 1961 designation of the loon as the Minnesota state bird.

The State Forest Nursery has a solid supply of oak and pine seedlings ready for your woods. Oaks and pines are great for wildlife – squirrels, deer, rabbits, wood ducks, turkeys, black bears, and many caterpillars rely on them for food and shelter.

We also have other native tree species still available, but don’t wait too long – some may sell out soon!

📅 Order deadline: April 3, 2026

🌲 To see a list of the species still available, visit: https://webapps.dnr.state.mn.us/nursery

Seedlings will be available for pick up or delivery in spring, when things thaw and we can lift the seedlings from the ground!

We will be sharing food Tuesday March 10 at Park Avenue Church (3400 Park Avenue South in Minneapolis) from 2:30-3:30pm or until it is gone. We will be in the parking lot facing Oakland Avenue. If you have clean paper grocery bags to donate, please bring those with you. Please bring a reusable shopping bag/box/cart/something sturdy to help you carry both the paper bag of groceries we pass out and the extra produce that is usually available in addition. Feel free to wear a mask if you wish, and please mask or stay home if you have symptoms of viral illness.

National Grange President Christine Hamp has released her "Speak Like a CHAMP" phrase for March.
We encourage all Grangers to use these phrases in publications, social media, or in everyday conversations as we all work to speak the same language and Grange together.

Outcome-Driven
Outcome-Driven means focusing on results rather than activity. It emphasizes clarity of purpose, intentional planning, and measurable impact. Being outcome-driven ensures that time, energy, and resources are directed toward efforts that meaningfully advance the mission. It requires defining success in advance, tracking progress, and adjusting course when needed. For the Grange, being outcome-driven means evaluating programs, meetings, and initiatives by the difference they make in our members' lives and in the strength of our communities - not by tradition or habit.
