THANK YOU for all your collective time, energy, presence and helping hands, that made it possible for us to welcome, serve and feed, and celebrate with ~700 Elliot Park neighbors at our Neighborhood Night Out and the Grand Reopening and ribbon cutting for Elliot Park, the heart of our neighborhood on Tuesday night.
Especially after such a dark and difficult beginning of this year, it was simply beautiful to be outside together, in celebration and community, with so many of our Elliot Park neighbors. And we couldn't have done it without all of us --the combined efforts and contributions of the organizers, co-sponsors, community resource and representative tablers and volunteers.
A special shout out to the dedicated park staff for hosting and organizing all the fun and engaging kids and family activities, and to ALL our community and organizational volunteers who tirelessly set up and took down tents and tables, hauled heavy things, chopped watermelon, grilled and served a delicious meal, and warmly welcomed such a beautiful diversity of our Elliot Park neighbors!
After a little rest, we will circle back and schedule a debrief to ask for your reflections and feedback on our NNO, so we can all continue to learn, build and improve as we move forward.
