Minnesota Sentinels Hockey

Minnesota Sentinels Hockey For Military Veterans, Service Members, and First Responders who love hockey and are seeking an inclusive and friendly hockey family. "Keep The Watch"

MISSION - To provide a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for Military Veterans, Active-Duty personnel, and all First Responders through the game of hockey. Minnesota Sentinels Hockey is dedicated to serving military veterans, active-duty members, National Guard, Reservists, and all First Responders. Our mission is centered on fostering camaraderie, promoting team building, and cultivating a sense of belonging to a community greater than oneself. Join us and become a part of a military-based hockey team in the State of Hockey. We extend our invitation to all service members and veterans who have honorably served or are currently serving, including our disabled veterans. There is no requirement for prior hockey experience; all that's needed is a passion for the game and a willingness to join a special group of individuals. Our aim is to provide a safe space for physical activity and to facilitate meaningful connections among peers.

The Minnesota Sentinels want to send a huge congratulations to our very own Tim “Pete” Hathaway as he officially begins his newest adventure as the owner and operator of Sarge’s Towing LLC!

Apparently being an Alternate Captain, hockey player, professional cheeseburger connoisseur, and occasional voice of reason around this circus wasn’t keeping Pete busy enough—so naturally, he bought himself a towing company.

All jokes aside, starting your own business takes guts, hard work, and a willingness to bet on yourself. We couldn’t be happier for Pete as he takes this next step, and we’re proud to see one of our own building something of his own.

So if you find yourself stranded, stuck, broken down, or you've made a series of questionable automotive decisions, remember:
Sarge’s Towing LLC

Come for the tow. Stay because Pete is probably going to tell you exactly what you did wrong.

Congratulations, brother. The entire Sentinel family is pulling for you.
Keep The Watch.

More Sentinel player profiles are on the way!

We can only edit so much in a day, and some of these stories require fact-checking, legal review, and a brief discussion about whether any of it actually happened.

Are the stories exaggerated? Occasionally.
Are the players making that necessary? Absolutely.

Stay tuned as Sentinel Sports Network 8½—the Ocho-ish—introduces more of the characters who make this organization what it is.

Names may be redacted. Details may be embellished. The nonsense is authentic.

THE LITTLE BROWN JUG STAYS IN MINNESOTA!

Congratulations to the Minnesota Golden Gophers on bringing one of college football’s greatest rivalry trophies back to Minnesota!

There are wins… and then there are rivalry wins with hardware attached.

The Jug belongs to Minnesota.

Great day to be a Gopher. Great day to be in the State of Hockey. And an even better day to remind Michigan to please return our property in good condition.

Today, we remember the men of Operation Gothic Serpent and the events of October 3–4, 1993, in Mogadishu, Somalia.

What began as a mission became a desperate fight to recover Americans who were wounded, surrounded, and cut off in the streets of Mogadishu.

We remember the Rangers.

We remember the Delta operators.

We remember the aviators of the 160th SOAR.

We remember the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division who answered the call and fought their way into the city.

We remember the men who flew into danger, moved through the streets under fire, and refused to leave their brothers behind.

We especially remember Master Sgt. Gary Gordon and Sgt. 1st Class Randall Shughart, who volunteered to go to the second crash site despite knowing the danger that awaited them.

But remembrance is not only about the darkness of that night.

It is about courage, sacrifice, brotherhood, and the promise that those who stood beside you would never be forgotten.

To the 18 Americans who gave their lives during the battle: we remember you.

To the wounded, the survivors, and the families who carried the weight of that sacrifice: we remember you too.

The men of Gothic Serpent carried their brothers home.

Decades later, we carry their names forward.

May we never forget Mogadishu.

May we never forget October 3–4, 1993.

May we never forget the men who went in together — and the brothers who fought to bring them home.

Keep The Watch.
