From 2014 to 2024, funding for the Older American's Act (OAA) Nutrition Program declined by 3 percent per person, while the number of people age 60 and older increased by 28 percent, according to an analysis by health policy research nonprofit KFF.

MacKenzie Scott's generous gift to Meals on Wheels America should help many struggling programs across the country.
