A close-knit community of Bangladeshi students at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Come join us in celebrating the richness of Bengali culture.

Bangladeshi Student Association (BDSA) is a close-knit community of students at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities who are enthusiastic about promoting and nurturing Bangladeshi culture on campus. BDSA organizes several events every term which cater to the social, intellectual and cultural aspects of our campus community. We have Eid and Pahela Baishakh (Bengali New Year) celebrations, and put on performance shows which would celebrate the evolution of Bengali music over the decades. We also work closely with other student associations on various events on the campus. BDSA is unique in that it is an equal mix of undergraduate and graduate students, and it serves as a platform to unite the wider Bangladeshi population in the twin cities.

The BDSA Eid al-Adha Feast at UMN was a wonderful celebration filled with great food, laughter, and community spirit. It was heartwarming to see so many guests come together to celebrate and enjoy the occasion.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event so special. And a huge shout-out to our amazing organizers and volunteers whose hard work and dedication behind the scenes made it all possible.

Eid is about togetherness, and this gathering was a beautiful reminder of the strength and warmth of our BDSA family. 🌙✨🍽️

We hosted a truly memorable farewell program honoring our outgoing BDSA community members—Tahmida, Zurana, Shaquib, Foisol, and Fahim—who have contributed immensely to our community over the years, both as dedicated members and in leadership roles. This farewell is only a small token of appreciation for the lasting impact they’ve made.

The performers may take the stage and captivate the audience, but it’s the volunteers who truly make events like Bangladesh Night a success. This evening was dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the incredible efforts of the volunteers who made Bangladesh Night 2026 possible.
