📱 THE PHONE IN THEIR HAND

Parents, the biggest threat to teens today is no longer happening on street corners.

Many teens believe they are buying a prescription pill like Percocet, Xanax, or Adderall.
But the reality is very different.

⚠️ Most pills sold online are counterfeit.
Studies have found 6 out of 10 fake prescription pills contain a potentially deadly amount of fentanyl.

📊 Researchers estimate a large percentage of teen and young adult fentanyl poisoning deaths involve some form of social media contact or digital communication.

What used to require finding someone in person can now happen in seconds, often using emoji codes, private messages, and anonymous accounts.

⚠️ Signs of fentanyl poisoning
• Slow, weak, or stopped breathing
• Hard or impossible to wake up
• Lips or fingernails turning blue or gray
• Choking, gurgling, or snoring sounds
• Cold or clammy skin
• Tiny pinpoint pupils

🚑 How to respond
1️⃣ Call 911
2️⃣ Rub the sternum with your knuckles
3️⃣ Administer Narcan if available
4️⃣ Start CPR if not breathing
5️⃣ Stay with them until help arrives

Today we honor Neal Hickman, Drue's father, who went to be with Jesus 5 years ago, 5 months after Drue's untimely death. Neal was a great father to Drue and he is greatly missed.
