The Foundation for the Children of Iran mourns the loss of Mrs. Mitra Whitlock (Nee Pouladian), an angel who cared so much for all our patients and their mothers. Every child was the beneficiary of her great big heart as she visited them, cooked for them, and helped in every way possible, quietly and without need for recognition.

She will be missed by family and friends and a community lucky to have had her in their lives. We send our deepest condolences to her husband Malcolm, her children Anoosh, Ashkan, and Leyla, and the entire Pouladian family.

فرشته ای که پاکدلانه به کودکان بیمار بنیاد و مادرشان مهر می ورزید. هر کودکی از مهر بی پایان او در زمانی که به ملاقات آنها می رفت بهره می برد، او برای آنان غذا تهیه می کرد و به هرراهی که می توانست کمک می کرد به آرامی و بدون هیچگونه انتظار پاداشی. جای او در میان نزدیکان و دوستان بسیار خالی خواهد بود و جامعه ما از داشتن او در میان خود بسیار مباهات بود. با همسر او و فرزندانش انوش، اشکان و لیلا و خانواده پولادیان عمیقا همدرد هستیم

The Foundation for the Children Iran mourns a beautiful mind lost forever, a bright light we witnessed shine and fade out...too, too soon. We hold the family, friends, students and colleagues of Professor Maryam Mirzakhani, her daughter Anahita and her husband Jon Vondrak, in our hearts today.
Professor Mirzakhani, your American family can never replace you...you were an amazing gift to these United States of America.
In her memory we urge you to please do your monthly breast self exams and regular preventative cancer screening. Maybe her loss will save lives.

With enormous gratitude and sepas bi-payan...we are delighted beyond words to bring you a pictorial essay on our latest, most amazing little boy who just returned home to Iran, after receiving extraordinary loving care here in Minnesota.
We thank each doctor, nurse, caregiver, translator, driver, volunteer.....the kind hearts at United States Department of State and Congressman Keith Ellison and Leader Nancy Pelosi's office for their assistance in securing visas, and the dozens of kind, generous souls in our community whose extraordinary donations of all sorts from around the US lifted up this family and our spirits. You are in our grateful hearts forever.
Our appreciation to the team at The Araz Group & HealthEZ, without whose devotion there would have been no FCI since 1991.
Finally, our deepest gratitude to our longstanding and loyal friend and board member: Becky Pohlad... whose very, very large donation this year paid a big part of the bills for this fabulous young man. Together my precious friend -we have always tried to make a difference. Bless you.
