Hi friends! We are so excited to let you know about an ongoing exhibit at the Katherine E. Nash Gallery of plywood boards from the Minneapolis Uprising. Many of our boards are on exhibit, AND are included in a 100-page exhibition catalog which is available to the public! Please consider visiting the exhibit, running through December 7, 2024!

The Katherine E. Nash Gallery and Memorialize the Movement present an exhibition of murals that were painted on plywood after the murder of George Floyd.

Our stored collection of over 80 boards is finally moving en masse over to Memorialize The Movement! So exciting to finally get so much of the gorgeous community art into hands that will store and display it alongside other boards from 2020.

Folks!! Wellington Management, Inc. has announced that our own Hi Lake Shopping Center will reopen NEXT MONTH. A public celebration with food and guest speakers will be happening on THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 16 from 11a-1p. Come one, come all!

We are so grateful for every one of you who added your beautiful, positive voices to the boards while this property was in limbo; we hope you will be present on Thursday Sept 16 to cheer on these businesses as they reopen, and that you will keep bringing your business to them moving forward so that they can come out the other side of these challenges stronger and better.

DELIGHTED to announce that the article published about Paint our Peace in last summer’s issue of Inspire Magazine was honored with the Award of Merit in the Personal Experience Short Format category at this year’s 2020 Associated Church Press Awards!! These awards span the US and Canada and have some very impressive competition, so this is indeed an honor, and I’m glad to think that perhaps more people will read about our wonderful community project because of it!

OUR MASKS ARE IN!! Last-minute stocking stuffers? New Year’s Eve swag? A new mask for hitting the gym in January? A foldable extra for the pocket of that spare coat? WE GOT YOU!

We are asking a minimum payment of product cost ($10) per mask, with any amount above that rolling directly back into community projects.
