Benefit Concert will support organizations that make space for youth to create and innovate musically, artistically and athletically. Benefit Concert will be held on October 23rd at 7:30pm at Orchestra Hall. In addition to performances from Sheila E. and her father, legendary percussionist Pete Escovedo. The concert will highlight youth performers from Minnesota filling Orchestra Hall with an elec

trifying, high energy show from Sheila E. and friends, along with her amazing band performing her hits that include “A Love Bizarre, The Glamorous Life and her newest single “Girl Meets Boy”, which was inspired by the tremendous loss she felt after the passing of her longtime collaborator and former fiancee Prince, telling the story of the first time they met. All proceeds from the kick-off Sheila E. Benefit Concert will be donated to the Purple Philanthropy fund administered by the Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project. Organizations that Prince supported in the past will be able to apply for grant funding to honor his legacy by continuing the programs Prince knew would make a difference in transforming lives of youth living in poverty.
