Thank you, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, and the Federal Government of Ethiopia.

On behalf of members of the Somali State community in North America, we acknowledge the federal government’s efforts in supporting development and infrastructure improvements in our region. The progress witnessed in recent years reflects the impact of strong national commitment and effective leadership.

At the same time, it is important to raise a serious concern regarding the performance of the Somali regional administration. Many local projects have been delayed, poorly implemented, or left incomplete, often due to corruption and mismanagement of public resources.

Our community continues to call for greater transparency, accountability, and responsible governance to ensure that development truly benefits the people of the Somali State.
