Did you know - in Minnesota Indigenous women experience the highest maternal mortality rate, which is almost 8 times higher than that of white women.

There is significant evidence, however, that women who receive support from doulas - trained maternal support professionals who provide guidance to women before, during, and after childbirth - experience improved birth outcome.

DIW has helped to graduate over 50 doulas across MN, including doulas in northern MN, including Bemidji, Red Lake, Leech Lake, Duluth, Fond du Lac, and Rochester.

Give to the Max Day is Thursday, November 20th. This year all donations will go to support our Ninde Doula program. We have a $10,000 goal!

Join our positive parenting group, Mothers of Tradition, every Tuesday from 1-3pm. Caretakers will be able to connect with elders and professionals within the community to build stronger connections with your baby. Expecting and new mothers can get connected with a doula, and there are incentives for attending!
