❤️Update on the sweet cat that was crying at the feeding station with the injured paw 🐾

He’s now safe and recovering with Nurse Kelly Critean❤️ After being examined, we found he has a fractured nail along with some ear mites, but he’s already on the road to feeling better.

The good news? This boy is FRIENDLY and clearly wants love and comfort. We would love to find him a home if anyone would interested. But we will be picky about our selection. He needs a relaxed, quiet environment. We will have him SNAP tested, prior to him going to his forever home.

Stay tuned for information regarding adoption. 🏡🐱

Thank you for helping him, will post invoice in comments.

✂️✂️✂️Retirement Party✂️✂️✂️

Wish Tigger a happy retirement!

Today he looked at the trap, smelled the tuna, and seemed to make a decision.

No more fighting.
No more wandering.
No more surprise kittens showing up all over town.

With one final glance around the neighborhood he’d spent years ruling, the old tomcat calmly walked into the trap.

CLANG.

And just like that, he retired.

For the last couple weeks, we’ve been trying to catch this injured community cat. Every time we thought we were close, he would disappear again. Tonight, we finally got him safely secured. 💔

As you can hear in the video, he’s crying out because he’s in pain, and that absolutely breaks my heart. But the important thing is he’s no longer suffering alone outside. He’s safe now, and we’re going to get him the medical help he desperately needs.

This is why TNR and rescue work matter. Sometimes it’s not just about preventing more kittens — it’s about giving suffering cats a chance they may not have gotten otherwise.

Please keep this sweet boy in your thoughts tonight. 🐾

If able to assist, we would appreciate!

🌸 Mother’s Day wish list:
I spy a cat… and for Mother’s Day, all I really want is for this guy to finally walk into a trap for me. 😂🐈‍⬛

It’s 7am on Mother’s Day and am trying to convince Onyx (a community cat) to crawl in a trap. I’ve been working on him for at least TWO YEARS. He’s outsmarted me, avoided every plan, and probably laughs at me from a distance daily. But hope is alive, snacks are stocked, and the trap is ready.

Send trapping vibes, patience, and maybe a little feline confusion my way. 🤞🩷🐾

⛔️Educational Post⛔️

🍗🐱 Feeding colonies “people food” may seem helpful, but it can actually make cats very sick.

Cats are obligate carnivores — they require protein-based diets to stay healthy.

Too much filler or table food not made for cats can cause:
⚠️ Vomiting
⚠️ Diarrhea
⚠️ Pancreatitis
⚠️ Dehydration
⚠️ Gastrointestinal upset

When cats in a colony get sick, it’s difficult to monitor or provide treatment quickly. Consistent cat food and fresh water are the safest options for community cats.

Kind intentions matter — but proper nutrition matters too. 🖤🐾

Another part of my mission is breaking the barriers that keep people from getting their animals spayed and neutered — and the biggest barriers are often cost 💲 and transportation 🚗.

To help address that need, AlterClinic Animal Care comes every other month to the Discount Drug Mart in Minerva to transport animals to and from their clinic for spay/neuter appointments 🐾✂️.

There are also several subsidies available:

Thanks to a grant from the Minerva Community Charitable Fund:

• If you live in the Minerva School District, indoor cats 🐱 can be spayed/neutered, vaccinated 💉, and transported for just $50.
• Outdoor/community cats 🐈 can be TNR’d for $25.

• If you live in Carroll County, the Carroll County Animal Protection League offers Carroll County residents a $35 subsidy 💵 towards spay and neuter services.

Making spay and neuter accessible helps keep pets healthier ❤️, reduces shelter intake 🏡, and prevents unwanted litters in our community.

Dogs are welcome in the transport but receive no subsidy. See link in comments for pricing.

Update🐾

We’ve been trapping a group of indoor cats who were suddenly put outside after their owner had a medical emergency and is not returning home.

So far, 16 cats are safe and off to rescue ❤️

🐾There are still 8–10 more out there and we need rescue intake for the last few cats.

A dumpster was delivered yesterday and they are clearing out the house today, so there will be loud noises and unfamiliar activity—these cats are going to be scared.

Please keep them in your thoughts as we work to get the rest to safety. 🐱

Sometimes it’s not always TNR. We drove an hour to help these souls. For 3 hours we have been trapping indoor cats placed outside after their caretaker suffered a medical emergency and isnt coming home. They weren’t meant to be outside—they are confused, stressed, and trying to survive in an unfamiliar world they never learned how to navigate.

Our goal right now is simple: get them safely trapped, stabilized, and into rescue so they can have a safe place to land and a real chance at a future.

This is a tough situation, but we’re on it. Every cat deserves to be safe, seen, and cared for—even when life takes an unexpected turn.

🐾 First one safe. 🚧

Pulled this baby out of a tough industrial site today 💔

Places like this are loud, dangerous, and no place for cats to survive — but this is exactly why we show up.

One cat at a time.
One life changed.

More to come… stay with us today 👀
Huge shoutout to Thanks For The Tip TNR for teaming up on this one 💪

🚧 Hard hat kind of day. 🐾

Heading out for a trapping project at a local industrial site with Thanks For The Tip TNR 💪

These are some of the toughest spots to work — loud, busy, and full of hidden kitties that need help.

Stay tuned… we’ve got a big day ahead. 👀
