CHALKIN AND BLOCKIN
The Kids Are Taking Over the Block!

Good evening, everyone!

The City of Pottsville, in conjunction with the Pottsville Recreation Committee and numerous sponsors, including Adventureland Access for All, is proud to bring you an incredible opportunity for our families and children.

🎨 CHALK THE BLOCK! 🎨

📅 Date: June 24th (June 25th will serve as the rain date)

⏰ Time: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

📍 Location: Alvernia Parking Lot

💲 Registration Fee: FREE

👦👧 Limit: 50 Children

Here's how it works!

Click the link below to register your child. Registration reserves one parking space for your child and provides them with a bucket of chalk along with a creative prompt. Your child will then use the entire parking space as their canvas to create a chalk masterpiece.

Some prompts may include:

• My favorite part of summer is...

• My favorite part of Pottsville is...

• Summer reminds me of...

Then the child can go nuts and make the entire space their canvas!

We have had several sponsors for this event. I will certainly create a list later and recognize every one of them, as they are the backbone of making this event possible. However, I would also like to point out what the kids will receive during the event:

• Bucket of chalk

• Drawstring gym bag

• Beach towel

• Beach bucket with bubbles and sunglasses inside

• One free slice of pizza and a drink

For the adults, we will have food and drinks available for purchase, as well as Ward's Lemonade Stand helping to raise money for Make-A-Wish. The Pottsville Kiwanis Club will also be handing out coloring books to the children!

All sponsorship money will go toward these supplies, and any remaining funds will be presented to the Pottsville Area Recreation Commission to help support future events.

Huge thanks to everyone who made the 5th Annual ADVENTURELAND ACCESS FOR ALL SPECIAL NEEDS FISHING RODEO 2026 a huge success.
We need to start off with our friends at Mechanicsville Game & Fish Association for use of their land once again.
Dollar General Warehouse, Aaron's Inc. and A&E Auto Repair Inc. for being main sponsors this year!
All of the folks who sponsored a fisherman or food/drinks. A great time was had by all. We also gave away over $500 in cash prizes along with quite a few other prizes and trophies.
And thanks to the amazing volunteers who helped all day to make everything running smoothly. See you all next year for the 6th Annual!!!
