United Way of Palo Pinto County Launches Long-Term Disaster Relief Process!

Following the April 28 tornado in Mineral Wells, United Way of Palo Pinto County is honored to serve as the centralized hub for long-term disaster relief and case management efforts in our community.

United Way is committed to supporting families and individuals throughout the recovery and rebuilding process.

Anyone requesting disaster-related assistance or reimbursement should contact
United Way of Palo Pinto County or complete the Needs Assessment Form available on United Way's website and social media pages

We know that not every family affected by a disaster fits into one category. You may have insurance. You may have income. You may have resources of your own — but still be facing unexpected costs, repairs, lost wages, temporary housing needs, childcare challenges, or other expenses that came out of nowhere.

That’s where we want to help fill in the gaps!

If the storm created a financial burden for your household, we encourage you to fill out the attached assistance form. This will help us better understand your situation and connect you with available resources, support, and possible reimbursement assistance.

Disaster recovery looks different for every family, and asking for help does not mean you don’t have means — it means you were impacted, and your community wants to help you recover.

Disaster Assistance Available for Palo Pinto County Residents & Businesses

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) threshold for Disaster Assistance Loans has officially been met for the State of Texas and Palo Pinto County. Homeowners, renters, and businesses in Palo Pinto County may now be eligible for low-interest disaster loans through the SBA.

Those impacted by the recent storms can also visit the SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Team for in-person assistance with applications and questions.
