We’re bringing the community together for a morning of running, walking, and giving back, and we want to keep the fun going long after the finish line! 🏅

💙 National Night Out — Bringing Our Community Together! 💙

United Way of Palo Pinto County was honored to be a proud sponsor of this year’s National Night Out!

A huge THANK YOU to the Mineral Wells Police Department and Mineral Wells Police Officers Association for all they do, not only to keep our community safe, but to build relationships, bring families together, and create opportunities for our community to connect with the officers who serve and protect us every day.

At United Way, we believe strong communities are built through partnerships, and we are proud to support a department that continues to invest in the people of Mineral Wells!

And of course, you know United Way is always going to bring a little FUN! 🤣 the Hula Hoop Granny Pants game definitely provided some laughs, questionable athletic abilities, and a whole lot of entertainment! 😂

IMPORTANT TORNADO RELIEF DEADLINE – OCTOBER 31 2026 🌪️

United Way of Palo Pinto County would like to remind families affected by the April 28 tornado that October 31, 2026, will be the final day to submit requests for reimbursement of tornado-related expenses.

If you have expenses directly related to the tornado or your recovery that you have not yet submitted for consideration, please contact United Way before October 31 so we can review your request and determine whether assistance is available.

Over the past six months, we have been honored to walk alongside families as they have worked to repair, rebuild and recover. As we begin bringing this phase of our tornado response to a close, we want to make sure everyone who may still have an outstanding tornado-related expense has an opportunity to reach out.

Deadline: October 31, 2026

Meet Lynette Babcock, a dedicated United Way of Palo Pinto County board member who has served our organization for more than 20 years!

Lynette is the Palo Pinto County Extension Agent for Family and Community Health with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, where she has spent 30 years educating and working with youth and adults throughout our community.

Originally from Spearman, Texas, Lynette has called Mineral Wells home for nearly 28 years. Her connection to United Way is especially meaningful through her work with Palo Pinto County 4-H, one of the local programs that benefits from United Way funding.

Known for being trustworthy and dependable, Lynette believes in the power of supporting organizations that make a positive impact right here in Palo Pinto County.

We are grateful for her many years of service and commitment to our community! ❤️
