Historic Mineral Wells is proud to be part of the journey for this piece of local history. The group is responsible for the fountain / horse trough's last move to it's current location at the Commons. This year, Historic Mineral Wells released a new collectible ornament memorializing this piece of local history. Posted in the comments below, there is a historic photo of the fountain in its original location, serving it's original purpose.

We are proud to unveil our new MW Keepsake Ornament for the Crazy Water Festival this weekend! Originally a horse trough, this repurposed fountain has been many places in town. It currently resides in the Town Commons behind the Market at 76067. We can’t wait to see you this Saturday!

Historic Mineral Wells is proud to display part of our collection in the museum in the Crazy Water Pavilion. We have recently installed a donation box if you feel led to help us preserve the great history of Mineral Wells.

The Crazy Hotel was built in 1915, burned in 1925, and then rebuilt in 1927 by Dallas insurance magnate and Crazy Water drinker Carr Collins.
