Do we have anyone in the South GA area near Valdosta/Tifton that could pick up a couple of baby whistling ducks and meet a volunteer with them in Marietta or Newnan?

When you call us for help because you found an injured, dont cuss me out because I cant drop everything to drive 3 plus hours for a goose your literally petting at your feet. If your comfortable enough to pet it, your comfortable enough to contain it.

Dont scream at me that its "your job you get paid for". We dont get paid. At all. Zero. We do this with donations and out of our own pockets when theres not enough in donations.

Dont say you cant help transport because your tired and want to relax. We are tired all the time and still show up. Meeting us at least half way isn't a rude ask.

Understand we have a list we work down, critical come first and yours isn't the only call we have.

Stop giving mallard ducklings or canada goslings to ppl not licensed for them. Not only do they NOT know how to raise for release, but they are breaking the law. You cannot take a wild and raise it domestic.

Dont just text a photo without a location and answer when we ask questions.

We are running on thin air right now. We get anywhere from 20-80 calls or texts a day. Help us help them. Contain if asked, transport helps tremendously or at least give us time to get transport. And be kind. You have no idea whats going on behind the scenes. We are running on fumes right now and would appreciate a little bit of understanding.

We were called on 2 baby ducks dumped at the jasper duck pond. Whats ironic is the city put up our signs there years ago, not had an issue until now. We are absolutely slammed with calls and captures on injureds so it took us until the next day to get someone out. Clementyne headed over after work and sent this photo. When they got back here they started chowing down on food. They enjoy being safe at night and never knowing hunger again.
STOP DUMPING DUCKS!!! ESPECIALLY BABIES!!!

Lets start the week with a positive.
Gertrude came into us after turtle got her foot and there was exposed bone. She was hopping on good leg and had been at this neighborhood lake with her mate off and on for 10 plus years. Foot was barely hanging on so a vet cleaned it up after foot came off and she was rehabbed for 3 weeks. Yesterday was her release. Clementyne drove her to the property and as you can see, she was happy and called for her mate to say honey im home!
