We get messages from time to time asking how people can help. Here’s a great way - host a toy drive!

🏫 Schools are amazing for this - got a football game coming up? Ask everyone who attends to donate a toy! We see teams or clubs do this individually all the time. And BONUS? Kids need volunteer hours to graduate - they can use the time planning and running an event!

🎁 Company holiday party? Bring a toy to be entered to win a prize! Make it a competition between departments to see who can donate the most toys!

🏆 Do you own a couple of businesses around the county? Have your locations compete! Most toys collected wins a free lunch - or just bragging rights until next year.

The possibilities are endless!! The reward? You’re contributing to providing hope and joy for the children of Wood County one toy at a time ♥️ 🎄 🧸

So get to planning! We love doing events but we’re just a small team of volunteers and we can’t be everywhere. This gives you the ability to plan and execute as you wish and we’re here to provide the boxes, social media posting, and a big hug as a thank you! 🙏🏼

Our 3rd Annual Family Fall Festival is on the calendar! This year, we have a very special vendor, Sourdough and Sauce! They will be here with pumpkins grown on their farm and a vintage tractor ready for awesome photos! It’s going to be a great day with kids games, giveaways, pumpkins, and of course, MINI GOLF! Today marks the official start of the 2026 Toys for Tots Holiday Campaign, and across the Nation, Marines, local Campaign Coordinators, volunteers, and National Corporate Sponsors are once again preparing to accomplish a mission that has united Americans for nearly eight decades: ensuring children in need experience the joy of Christmas.

I have the privilege of seeing just how much work happens before a toy ever reaches a child's hands. Warehouses begin to fill. Collection boxes appear in communities. Volunteers answer the call. Businesses step forward to support the mission. And thousands of people from every walk of life come together to accomplish a common objective.

That is what makes Toys for Tots enduring. It is a National mission carried out at the local level, powered by Americans who understand that helping a disadvantaged child matters.

This year, I'm asking the American people to stand with us again. Whether you donate a toy, contribute financially, volunteer your time, of help spread the word, your support directly strengthens our mission.

Over the months ahead, I'll be sharing some of what I have the opportunity to see from my seat as President and CEO—the Marines, local Campaign Coordinators, volunteers, communities, and moments that remind me why this mission continues to matter.

Our 2026 Holiday Campaign starts today. Let's get to work.

Planning meeting for the team on 10/5 and then we’ll be hitting the streets with those big toy donation boxes!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of receiving that big check from CowBurners BBQ & Taproom!

Our community partners who support the Toys for Tots mission are the reason we’re successful. From hosting boxes to putting together pub crawls - they are the middleman between us and the rest of the community and we couldn’t do this without them.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas in July efforts. We aimed for a small head start for the 2026 season and our Wood County family showed up in a BIG way! From filling several boxes of toys to raising $3500 during the pub crawl that Jason organized, we appreciate your support but more importantly- the children of Wood County will feel the love this holiday season ❤️

We’re anticipating fewer donations and more requests this year as we are all feeling the impact of the economy, support like this from the community is what makes the difference and will ensure we’re able to continue serving the families who need us. One toy at a time.

We were so honored to be able to present a check for $3500 to the Toys For Tots Wood County, TX and Wood County Marine Corps League groups to help their organizations' annual Toys for Tots toy distribution! We raised this money during the week of our Christmas in July Pub Crawl, and I cant thank you everyone enough for supporting the cause. We didn't get enough to shave my beard, but $3500 is no small feat! We have the best customers!

🎄 BE THE REASON 🎄

October is almost here…
And with it comes a season of giving, of hope, of little wishes waiting to come true.

For some children, Christmas means a tree glowing in the window, presents waiting underneath, and a morning filled with excitement.

But for others…Christmas may be a little different.

A child shouldn’t have to wonder if Santa will find them this year. They shouldn’t have to feel forgotten while other children unwrap their dreams.

That’s where Toys for Tots comes in. ❤️

Because a toy is more than a toy.

It’s the excitement in a child’s eyes.
It’s the smile they can’t hide.
It’s the feeling of being remembered.
Of being seen.
Of knowing that someone cared enough to make Christmas special.

And it all begins in October.

The donation boxes will appear. The toys will begin to fill the shelves. The volunteers will begin the work. And Wood County will once again come together for the children who need us most.

Maybe you’ll buy one toy.
Maybe you’ll fill a box.
Maybe you’ll make a monetary donation.
Maybe you’ll volunteer your time.

Whatever you can give…it matters.

Because somewhere in Wood County, there is a child whose Christmas could be changed by your kindness.

So this year…

Be the reason a child smiles.
Be the reason they have a present to open.
Be the reason they believe in a little Christmas magic.
