A great night with an even greater group of women in architecture! ✨

The AIA Long Island Women in Architecture had such a fun and inspiring time at the Long Island Product Fair & Cocktail Party last Thursday. From connecting with industry peers to discovering new products and sharing plenty of laughs, it was an evening full of energy, support, and meaningful conversations.

These amazing ladies continue to show up, support one another, and make our industry stronger together and some of the ladies also won raffle prizes.

Looking forward to more events, more connections, and more unforgettable moments together.

Caring for the Great South Bay starts on land—and you can be part of the solution 🌿

AIA Long Island invites architects and students to join us for a hands-on environmental cleanup on Saturday, May 9th, focused on improving the water flowing into the bay. By removing litter, debris, and invasive species, you’ll help protect this vital ecosystem—while earning AIA Learning Units.

No experience needed. Students are strongly encouraged to join!

This effort supports the “Creek Defender” program by Save The Great South Bay—a mission to restore the creeks that feed the bay through cleanup, habitat restoration, and pollution reduction at its source.

For architects, it’s also a mindset shift. Design doesn’t stop at the site line—it extends to the entire water system. From stormwater management to native planting and bioswales, every choice impacts the health of our waterways.

Let’s design with ecosystems, not against them—and make environmental responsibility part of every project 💧
