Dare To Be A Cowboy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing opportunities, education, and support for the next generation of cowboys and cowgirls. For this June’s Mutton Bustin’ jackpot, we officially launched our Sponsor a Sheep Program! We want to give a special shoutout to our very first sheep sponsors to participate in this program: The Trough and Reins of Hope at JT Ranch!

We are so thankful for their support of our young mutton busters and for helping us create opportunities for the next generation of cowboys and cowgirls. & just like that, the biggest, best weekend of the DTBAC events has come and gone and boy will it be one we always remember!! This was the first time we hosted two events in one, producing our Mutton Bustin jackpot followed by two days of barrel racing!! Throughout the weekend over 250 rides/runs were made. Over $11,000 was paid out in prize money ($1300 going to our high money earner)!! 16 people were awarded prizes including 9 buckles were handed out. & over 20 crew members volunteered their time off to make the world go round all weekend long!

We are left feeling so grateful for the DTBAC community and everyone that shows up to these events: the people in the grandstands, in the arena, in the crows nest, on the banners, at the check in desk, and everywhere in between, that is our lifeline!!! Thank you thank you thank you. We will see everyone at the arena once again on August 2nd!

These are not just logos on a picture or a banner, these are REAL people with REAL businesses that give REAL support to the rodeo industry. We’re kicking things off Saturday morning with our DTBAC Mutton Bustin’ Jackpot, followed by the Dare To Run Barrel Race Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
