A big congratulations and thank you to this year's Cascade Lakes Relay - Eyes on Wheels riders! You all did a great job. We got lots of kudos from the runners as well as from race management. We had many veterans and many first time riders. I think we had fun and made a contribution to safety and security during the night. I'm am proud to know so many dedicated riders who are willing to give time and effort to these events. Thank you!

We just arrived in La Pine, OR. Getting ready for the Cascade Lakes Relay on Friday and Saturday. Our riders will be patrolling from Exchange 13 through Exchange 24 (and possibly Exchange 25). The weather isn't going to be great but that's no big shock as the weather for this patrol has been all over the map; dry and cold, wet and warm, wet and cold. Friday night and Saturday will be cold and wet. We patrol regardless of the weather (tornados and lighting excepted).
We have our no-host dinner tonight in La Pine. Tomorrow is a free day until dinner. Dinner is on EOW. We do a pre-patrol briefing, present recognition awards to new, returning, and long time patrol riders, and enjoy the meal and company of the other patrol riders.
I'll try to post a group shot tomorrow.

I hope everyone is having a great Spring. Looks like the weather may be getting better (at least until the Rose Parade...).
We just completed another successful patrol for the American Lung Association's Reach The Beach event. Always a great event despite the weather. The last few years have been a bit wet.
Coming up we have Chefs Cycle out in Bend. That patrol is fully staffed. Then there is Cascade Lakes Relay (also in the Bend area). That patrol is fully staffed. So, you are wondering, how can I volunteer for a patrol? Sign up today for Hood To Coast. We still have positions open for that patrol. The race is August 27-28 from Timberline to Seaside. EOW patrols from Portland to Seaside during the hours of darkness. You can read all about it on our website by registering and then signing up for the patrol.

You can check www.eyesonwheels.org for 2026 event dates. This is a great time to block out a day or two to patrol for your favorite (or a new to you) event. It's too early for signup but it isn't too early to save the date(s)!
Good news! EOW will be providing motorcycle support to Chefs Cycle for the second year. It's a great event out in Bend. Lodging and meals provided.
Of course we will be patrolling HTC, CLR, and RTB, too.
