Reposting with Mayor Batey’s notes that highlight changes affecting our neighborhood:
Sharing this message about upcoming service reductions to TriMet lines, and some Clackamas County service that is filling a bit of the gap. Some specific changes affecting Milwaukie:
--Line 33 will run the same route, but after 8pm there will only be one bus per hour.
--Lake Road within city limits will no longer have service. ☹️
--Service along Linwood and Harmony Road will be part of line 40, no longer line 34 and will connect the Takoma MAX Station to Clackamas Town Center.
On Aug. 23, TriMet will implement significant service changes that may affect the way you travel to and from Clackamas County, particularly to your medical appointments, job and other services you may need.
The MAX Green Line will be shortened to run only between Clackamas Town Center and the Gateway Transit Center, and a total of 33 bus lines will be adjusted. It's important to know some bus lines will be combined and others will be moved to serve more people. Some bus lines will run less often at times when fewer people are riding, including nights and weekends.
There will be significant schedule changes, and some bus lines have been eliminated in areas where there are no alternative transportation options. Clackamas County will be adjusting the Oregon City Shuttle Route and CCC Xpress Route to help fill some of the gaps left by TriMet service changes.
To get ahead of the changes, riders are encouraged to visit trimet.org or www.rideclackamas.org and plan a trip to see what’s changing. Trip Planners on both sites allow you to enter your starting point and destination, and the planner will show the three fastest and most efficient transit options.
