October is Head Start Awareness Month, a time to recognize what Head Start means right here in Clackamas County.

At ClackCoKids, we serve over 500 children and families each year, helping children build a strong foundation for school and life while partnering with parents and caregivers every step of the way.

For 60 years, Head Start has been part of our community, and we’re proud to continue that legacy.

ClackCoKids ❤️ Sandy Pioneers!

Last week, a few of our staff and families gathered under the Friday night lights to cheer on the Sandy Pioneers! 🏈 It was a fun evening filled with community spirit, great football, and plenty of Pioneer pride.

A special thank you to Coach Dill for welcoming us to the game and for the Sandy Pioneers' continued support of our mission through the Souper Bowl. Each January, Pioneer football players roll up their sleeves to serve soup at our annual Souper Bowl fundraiser, helping raise funds for our Full Pantry Project.

We're grateful for community partners like the Sandy Pioneers who help make a difference both on and off the field. ❤️🏈

What an incredible All Staff gathering this week! ✨

On Tuesday, we came together to reflect on our accomplishments, celebrate our people, and look ahead to an exciting new program year. Thank you to our inspiring guest speaker, Beth Cannon Speaks, for sharing her insights and helping set the tone for a meaningful day.

We heard highlights from every department, recognized our long-time staff and Shining Stars, and proudly unveiled this year's theme: "Good is our foundation, not our finish line."

From the thoughtful conversations and shared learning to the connections built throughout the day, we were reminded of the important work we do and the impact we make together every day. Staff were also surprised with a wonderful box of goodies from our Executive Director, making the day even more special.

A special shoutout to our Nutrition Team for the delicious breakfast that helped start the day off right! ❤️

🚧 Construction is underway at the future Meadowlark Early Learning Center in Gladstone!

The new center will include two Head Start classrooms and three infant-toddler Early Head Start classrooms to serve local children and families.
