Community Emergency Response Team
(CERT) is a federal training program
administered at the local level. CERT prepares individuals to help
themselves, their family, and their
neighbors in the event of a disaster. During a large incident, professional
emergency service personnel may not
be able to reach everyone right away. Clackamas County CERT volunteers are known and trusted
resources that can help save lives and
protect property.

Yet another frontal system is approaching the Oregon and Washington coast. This storm will produce widespread heavy rain starting on the coast Sunday afternoon and spreading inland by evening. Rainfall in coastal areas could reach 5 to 8 inches in just 24 hours. Willamette Valley rainfall will range from 1.5 to 2 inches in the north to around an inch between Salem and Eugene. Winds will be strong along the coast and breeze inland Monday. The heavy rain will cause many rivers in Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon to reach or exceed bank full starting Monday.
