Troop 376, Scouts BSA BOY TROOP We have well over 100 boys earn their Eagle Scout rank from our troop.

Located in Milwaukie, Oregon, this BOY troop goes camping, horse back riding, swimming, canoeing, archery/shooting sports, cooking, hiking and works on leadership skills.

And a special thank you to all of the Scouts who showed grit, parents who shuttled and wrangled kids, volunteers who gave of their precious time, donors who gave of their treasure, and all who gave their talent, passion & energy to help make Scouting America the most impactful organization in our 19-county area.

Fun Friday Fact: yesterday was Scouting's "Founder's Day" across the world! It honors the legacy of Lord Robert and Lady Olave Baden-Powell whose vision for Scouting inspires our Scouts to live by the Scout Oath, Law and Outdoor Code today.

In case you've never heard of these tenets, here you go!

THE SCOUT OATH:
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

THE SCOUT LAW:
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.

THE OUTDOOR CODE:
As an American, I will do my best to –
Be clean in my outdoor manners.
Be careful with fire.
Be considerate in the outdoors.
Be conservation minded.

Here is a super FUN FACT about President Roosevelt:

The President helped protect wildlife 🦊🐿️🐻 and public lands by creating the United States Forest Service (USFS)🌲🌲🌲.

DID YOU KNOW....this has created 150 national forests, 51 federal bird reserves, 4 national game preserves, 5 national parks, and 18 national monuments and has protected over 230 MILLION acres of public land that we all get to enjoy today! (Especially in Scouts!⚜️🏔️🥾)
