Milwaukie Community Center Foundation presents $180,000 to Support NCPRD Meals on Wheels!!
Milwaukie, OR — Thanks to generous donations by organizations and individuals, the Milwaukie Community Center Foundation (MCCF) was able to raise a $180,000.00 since July of 2025 to maintain NCPRD Meals on Wheels at the its current level.
On June 17th, at the fiscal end of year meeting, a check was presented to Marty Hanley, Milwaukie Community Center Manager, on behalf of North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD). Meals on Wheels delivers annually 70,000 nutritious meals to seniors and people with disabilities in the local area.
Meals on Wheels services are provided by a dedicated team of NCPRD staff and volunteers who prepare, package, and deliver 300 meals on a daily basis. This program offers friendly visits and safety checks, addressing both nutritional needs and social interactions.
Jessi La Main, MCCF’s Executive Director, said “This is a transformative investment in our community’s health and well-being. Meals on Wheels is more than food. It’s a lifeline that supports dignity, safety, and independence for older adults and people with disabilities.”
