Our club is proud to support the fight to end Alzheimer’s by again participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s happening on October 10 at the Oregon Zoo, but we need your help! Donate to our team page at the end link below to help raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Over 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and over 11 million family and friends provide their unpaid care. It doesn’t have to be this way. Ever wondered what Rotary is all about? This is a great example: By becoming a member of the Rotary Club of Clackamas Sunrise, the owners of the Happy Valley Grocery Outlet were introduced to the incredible team at the Clackamas Service Center (also club members!). This connection has lead a great partnership where the HV Grocery Outlet supports CSC in their mission to provide services and supplies to struggling families and individuals in our local community. Furthermore, the club gets to support this partnership through volunteering and financial contributions. This is such a great example of our club at its finest. We are so thankful to be have these stellar humans and organizations as a part of our club!

Thank you to Shanne and Nick from Squires, Empowering Young Dads for spending time with us at our meeting on July 31. Sharing their stories, how the program has impacted their lives, and how they are now paying it forward was a great way to start our Friday. We are thankful for their tireless work to make a difference in our community, and are proud to help contribute to their efforts.

Club members Tina Scheible and Amy Anderson received Paul Harris Awards for their service to the club in July. Tina was awarded this honor for her contributions to the Youth Exchange Program, and Amy for her duties to the club foundation Treasurer. Its members like Tina and Amy that help our club and community thrive!
