This week our Executive Director, Darnell Hamilton, had the opportunity to visit SEPO and personally deliver the winning contribution raised through the Nancy Tonies Legacy Night event.

More than a check presentation, the visit was a chance to see the incredible work happening firsthand, connect with community leaders, and learn more about the impact SEPO is making in the lives of the individuals and families it serves every day.

We are grateful to everyone who supported Nancy Tonies Legacy Night and helped make this contribution possible.

After visiting Fisk University, our scholars headed to the vibrant campus of Tennessee State University, where they experienced firsthand the pride, culture, and excellence that make HBCUs so impactful.

As we continue celebrating African American Appreciation Month, we're looking back at another powerful day from our College Tour Experience.

A few weeks ago, we shared highlights from part 1 of Day 2 of the journey, and it's a moment worth revisiting.

Our scholars kicked off the day with an inspiring visit to Fisk University, one of the nation's most historic HBCUs. The experience was made even more memorable by members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., who welcomed students with an energetic step performance that brought the campus spirit to life.

Moments like these are about more than college visits, but about connections for our young leaders to a rich legacy of Black excellence, leadership, achievement, and community. Experiences such as this help students see themselves in spaces where generations of leaders, innovators, and changemakers have walked before them.

What a powerful evening of legacy, impact, and community. Last week, FUL was proud to host the 2nd Annual Inspire & Impact: Honoring a Legacy of Giving event in the Fox Valley, the place where the vision for FUL was first born.

The evening honored the incredible legacy of the late Nancy Tonies, whose spirit of generosity, compassion, and community continues to inspire through her family and all those she impacted. We were also honored to recognize organizations creating meaningful change throughout the Fox Valley.

Congratulations to SEPO for receiving this year’s Inspire & Impact Award for their impactful work in Oshkosh. We were also proud to celebrate SiStar Society, along with last year’s recipients, People of Progression, whose continued leadership and perspective added so much to the evening.

Because of the support of this community, we raised over $10,000 to continue investing in future leaders and expanding opportunities for young people.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make this evening so meaningful.
