Hey All my friends in metafacelandbook!
Those of you who routinely see my page, know I don't usually post, I just share humorous or pertinent posts of other people.
Well, today I'm posting...
I am retiring at the end of the month. In it's infinite wisdom, The Three Harbors Council has determined that I need a "Retirement Party"...(sounds more like a "Let's Roast Larry" Party, if you ask me).
So, if you're not busy and feeling like having a little fun at my expense...it'll cost you... LOL!
Stop on down next Tuesday, the 11th, DT Milwaukee at the Explorium Brewpub on St Paul. Have a drink or two, nosh a little and let's have some fun!
And if you can't make it, that's ok as I'm sure I will see you down the trail, sometime!

Be that weird guy who pulled over and checked on the animal that was hit by a car to see if it was still alive and in need of help.

Be the construction worker that left work early while his buddies laughed at him because he found an injured squirrel and wanted to get it to safety.

Be the irritating woman who wasn’t afraid to stop traffic because a mama duck was trying to cross the road with her babies.

Be the gross person who isn’t disgusted by a mangy fox and sees it as an animal that needs help from the right people.

Be the aggravating informant who tells the guy buying rat poison what is does to our local wildlife.

Be the uncool kid who stops his friends from trying to hurt a snake they found for fun.

When we start feeling bad or embarrassed for showing EMPATHY toward another and trying to SAVE A LIFE, then we have let the opinions of others mean WAY too much.

Never apologize for being a good and caring human being. There aren’t enough in this world.

Please welcome Pack 222 at St. Anthony’s Elementary School as one of Three Harbors Council’s newest units in the Scoutreach District. Cub Scouting is returning to St. Anthony’s after a more than two year hiatus. St Anthony’s Elementary is on Milwaukee’s near south side next to the gold double domes of St. Stanislaus Church. The school principal and one of their 2nd Grade teachers led the effort to restart Scouting in the school.
