Energy Assistance begins today, October 1, through May 15, 2027.
During the benefit season, eligible Milwaukee County residents can apply for a one-time payment to help cover a portion of their energy bills. The amount of the benefit varies depending on a number of factors, including household income and size, as well as their heating bill. Residents may also qualify for other benefits as well to reduce their utility costs.
Go to keepwarmmke.org to get details on income eligibility, other benefits you may be eligible for, and how to apply via phone, mail, or online. You can schedule your appointment today by calling 414-270-4653 or going to keepwarmmke.org. You can apply online at keepwarmmke.org too.
Community Advocates has limited availability for walk-in clients from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at our downtown offices at 728 N. James Lovell St., Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee County Energy Assistance Program is administered by the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration.
