Honoring The Fallen …

Dedicated on Veterans Day 1957 and designated a Milwaukee Landmark in 1974, The War Memorial Center is the stunning architectural achievement of renowned Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen, whose work also included the St. Louis Gateway Arch, New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport and Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. Most importantly, Saarinen’s design and

the memorials throughout the facility stand as a lasting testament to those who lost their lives defending the freedoms that we all cherish. Serving the Living …

In addition to standing as a testament to those whose made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, the War Memorial Center’s is also a premier location for indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions, formal banquets and business meetings of all kinds. Red, white, and blue for those who gave all.

The annual Field of Flags Remembrance Ceremony will happen this morning at 11AM in Veterans Park 🇺🇸

Veterans Park has been filled with 27,316 flags, one for every Wisconsin hero killed in action from the Civil War to today. The Field of Flags will be on display through May 27.

As Wisconsin gears up for America250 later this summer, I’m proud to shine red, white, and blue all weekend long in honor of the service members who gave their lives in service to our country. ❤️🤍💙

Flags are on display until May 27.
