A few weeks ago one of our CYT Alums visited Milwaukee as a professional dancer in the touring production of The Thorn, a gorgeous immersive theatrical production that tells the story of God's love for the world from the perspective of John, the Beloved. Described as 'cirque meets The Passion,' with music, drama, aerial acts, movement arts, dance and stunning visual effects, it is a beautiful show. A big group from , Acts 17:28 Dance and Bella Folk showed up to support Anda, and had our hearts touched by this show in the process. These Milwaukee-area Christian arts communities are special places filled with incredible people! If you get a chance to catch The Thorn in one of their final cities, or the upcoming shows of any of these groups...do it!

When you have a cast of 75 students, AND one of your primary goals is to create community, you have to be intentional about how you do that. One of the ways we do it is to break up our cast into smaller groups, called Color Teams. Each small group has an adult mentor, 2 older student leaders, and then 8-10 kids of different ages. They spend time talking, sharing, eating lunch together, encouraging each other, being silly, and praying together. Older kids mentor younger kids. Younger kids look up to older kids. Kids help other kids build their faith, as they practice lines, moves and songs! This is community!

CYT exists because of the support of amazing families and businesses who value the mission...to develop character and creativity through quality theater arts training which brings families and communities together, while reflecting Jesus.

We have a goal of $6000 for this show in ads and sponsorships, and we are currently short of that goal. Can you help us meet our goal? Here are 2 ways to help:

1) Sponsor a student - your sponsorship directly helps an individual student with their show fees, while you receive ad space in our show program, as well as tickets to our show. For some students, this is a critical step for them to be able to participate in CYT!

2) Buy a Business ad - buy ad space in our show program, either one time, or for the whole season (3 shows).

Who can do this? A church, a non-profit, or a business. Even an individual can, and you can use your ad space for a business or to send an encouraging note to our cast!

Deadline for these is Oct 5. Ad artwork is due Oct 9. Please tag any business or person who might like to partner with us on our goals! You can purchase the sponsorship or ad at https://www.cytchicago.org/events/Sponsorship-Ads/47

Thank you in advance for your support!
