Milwaukee Radio Amateurs' Club

Milwaukee Radio Amateurs' Club Milwaukee Radio Amateurs’ Club, Inc. (MRAC) is one of the oldest amateur radio clubs in the world, having been incorporated in 1917. Mayfair Rd.

(MRAC) is one of the oldest amateur radio clubs in the world, having been incorporated in 1917 and affiliated with ARRL (The National Association for Amateur Radio) in 1919. On March 28, 2008 we were recognized by the ARRL for 89 years of affiliation with the league. Over the years, MRAC has sponsored an ARRL national convention, acted as QSL manager for a Space Shuttle SAREX (Shuttle Amateur Radi

o Experiment) mission and conducted classes in all grades of amateur radio licenses. We were a VE in 1983, became a VEC in 1984 and retired in 2008. We currently meet on a monthly basis, own and operate a repeater, conduct roundtable nets on 10 and 2 meters, operate in an annual radio contest known as Field Day, publish a monthly newsletter and sponsor a local sprint contest known as the MRAC FM Simplex Contest. The MRAC owns and operates a repeater on 145.390MHz, -600KHz offset. To access the repeater you will need to encode a CTCSS (PL) of 127.3Hz

The repeater is located on the channel 18/10/36 tower where the receive antenna is at the 730 foot mark and the transmit antenna at 630 feet. The antennas are fed with 2-1/4 inch hard-line. Our meetings are held on the last Thursday of the month (November maybe a week earlier if it conflicts with Thanksgiving) at 7:00 pm located in the Fellowship Hall of Redemption Lutheran Church at 4057 N. Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
