🌟 Keeping the Learner at the Center! 🌟

We were honored to have Kristofer Koneazny and Jenell Loreck represent the Norris School District and Norris, Inc. at the JMU & Innovation Center for Youth Justice Symposium: Positive Youth Development—Where Research Meets Practice.

Their presentation, “Community-Based Learning Ecosystems: Meeting Every Learner Where They Are,”highlighted the powerful partnership between Norris School District’s Learn MKE program and Achieve MKE—and what becomes possible when schools and community partners work together around the whole young person.

With a room of nearly 100 researchers and practitioners, Kristofer and Jenell shared how this collaborative approach keeps the learner at the center, connects education and community-based support, and creates stronger pathways for young people to thrive.

The presentation was warmly received and sparked meaningful reflection on a question that should always guide our work:

Are the systems we build working for the people we serve—or are we asking people to work around our systems?

We’re proud to share this work and grateful for the opportunity to bring the voices, experiences, and possibilities of young people into the conversation about what positive youth development can—and should—look like. 💙

We are proud to share that Norris has been named a 2026 Green Bay Packers Foundation grant recipient.

This funding supports Achieve MKE, our community-based youth development program working with young people ages 15 to 25 across Milwaukee. It goes directly into program sessions, materials, and the everyday support that helps Achievers move toward their goals in school, work, and life.

Thank you to the Green Bay Packers Foundation for investing in Milwaukee’s young people!

Thank you to Norris and Neu-Life Community Development for having us, it means so much. Achieve MKE is always happy to be involved in the development of our community!

On June 30th, representatives from Norris and Achieve MKE were honored to be in attendance for the groundbreaking of Neu-Life's latest project, NeuVue.

NeuVue will provide the space for meeting the evolving needs of Neu-Life's youth workers and young professionals aged 18-24, providing them a path to self-sufficiency through housing, workforce development and access to community partners.

Visit neu-life.org to learn about the progress of NeuVue as they continue to serve the young people of Milwaukee!
