Loving little bees preparing their offspring for winter transformation. They've partnered with native plantings, making love partners of chosen flowers, fermenting the pollen s***m with lapped-up nectar, wrapped in a blanket of carefully cut pedals and leaves. They lay their egg, next year's pollinator, in the very stem of their partner's plant. No, not adam's rib, but nature's prayer.

Not since America’s First Gilded Age has there been such a physical incursion into public space by greedy oligarchs (Robber Barons). Railroads and oil fields learned how to manipulate government and override the will of the people. Today’s Second Gilded Age is driven by AI, surveillance, and data centers that have mastered many of the same workarounds.
It is important to study how farmers and rural communities organized to resist industrialist greed — and to understand how those robber barons still managed to manipulate regulatory agencies and oversight through corruption of the justice system, much like what we are seeing today.

Listen closely to what he is saying, and let me know whether this can also apply to honeybees.
“Rich people are job creators” sounds a lot like when a farmer plants a field of produce. That crop does not make it to market without pollinators, and those pollinators still need support once the bloom turns into product.
We may move the bees to another job site, but other insects and bees are left to languish in a food desert while the farmer profits — relatively speaking — from the commodity.
Can we draw comparisons between nature’s way of balance and equilibrium and our human model of extraction, maximizing output, and producing more rather than living sustainably?
What say you?

Thanks again to Slovenian Beekeepers, the Pope says has scheduled a special meeting of beekeepers to learn more about the plight of pollinators and help protect bees.

NOTE THE NEW DATE: 11-12 December 2026!

🕯️ One year of hard work has paid off!

On Monday, 5 October, the Pope will receive beekeepers at a private audience. He will meet beekeepers from all over the world, at the initiative of the Slovenian Beekeepers' Association and the European Beekeeping Association. On this occasion, he will also receive a special candle made in Slovenia, in Polzela.

On Saturday, 3 October, a special Holy Mass for all beekeepers will be held at the Borgo Laudato Si’. The Mass will be held by Cardinal Baggio.

According to our information and the publicly available records of the Holy See, there has never before been an official private audience with a Pope dedicated exclusively to beekeepers. This makes the event particularly significant and truly historic.

More information will follow soon, so that you will be able to start organizing participation in your respective countries.

We will present the importance of bees and bee products to the Pope and ask him to do his best to help us raise awareness in the world about the importance of bees and also about the importance of consuming real bee products. We also want to send a message to the world through him - let's buy local honey!
We encourage all beekeeping organizations around the world to organize visits to the Vatican and be part of a unique event...
We look forward to this very special event and to meeting you all in Rome!
